NC County Talks about Future of Animal Welfare
Community members met with members of an animal welfare organization Tuesday to discuss ways of controlling the pet population and increasing pet adoption in Cleveland County.
Target Zero and Best Friends are both pro-bono animal welfare groups that work with animal shelters across the nation to help bring down the number of shelter animals, as well as euthanizations. Cleveland County Animal Control and Cleveland County Public Health invited the two groups in to discuss how they can progress toward their goal of becoming a no-kill shelter.
