HICKORY –Recent animal cruelty charges in New Jersey against a Newton woman have exposed the hidden practice of selling rescued dogs for profit. North Carolina Voters for Animal Welfare in the latest issue of the ‘Humane Activist’

We were in the latest issue of the Humane Society Legislative Fund magazine Humane Activist. The writeup talks about the recent possible closure of the animal welfare section that inspects shelters.  “Advocates called from every county,and state legislators listened;the revised budget proposal not only retains the division but increases funding for additional inspectors.”

Humane Society:Lobbying 101

Greensboro –Humane Society of the United States North Carolina State Director Kim Alboum will be hosting a “Lobbying 101″class at the Piedmont Humane Society. This class will educate you on how to meet your representatives and talk about animal welfare issues.
