Brunswick County Health Director Don Yousey said the chamber was activated this week to euthanize animals that cannot be safely euthanized by injection (EBI).
Area animal advocates have been circulating copies of a petition directed to Brunswick County commissioners asking they do away with the gas chamber as a method of euthanizing animals.
