The Puppy Mill Bill (Senate Bill 460) narrowly passed the Senate Yesterday!

The bill has one more committee to get through before it goes to the house for a vote. NCVAW members need to contact their  representative and urge them to support S. 460. This bill could come up for a vote as early as this Monday, TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

Make a short phone call to your representative and ask them to support S. 460 (The Puppy Mill Bill). To find your House Member’s phone number click here and locate the “Who Represents Me?” search field on the right side of the page. When you call, make sure you leave your name and city/town so your representative knows you are a constituent.

Here is a sample message:

“Hello, this is (your name) from (your location) and I ask that you VOTE YES for S. 460, the puppy mill bill. This bill will crack down on animal cruelty and provide tax revenue for our cash strapped state. Thanks for your time.”
